The rules of the road for using Crawford Audio Tools software and purchasing licenses.
By creating an account, purchasing a license, downloading, or using PT Manager, PT Manager Server, or any other software or service provided by Crawford Audio Tools, LLC ("we", "us", "Crawford Audio Tools"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the software or purchase a license.
These terms apply to all products sold through crawfordaudiotools.com, ptmanager.app, and any affiliated Crawford Audio Tools domains.
Purchase of a paid tier grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software on the number of machines permitted by the tier you purchased (the "Seat Count"). The license remains valid even after feature updates expire — the version you own continues to run.
The Free tier grants a perpetual, non-exclusive license for personal or commercial use on one (1) machine, subject to these terms.
Each license key activates on up to the number of machines specified in your tier. You may deactivate a machine from your account dashboard at any time to free a seat for use on another machine. Seat add-ons increase the seat count of your newest paid client license.
Paid tiers include twelve (12) months of feature updates starting from the date of purchase. After the update period ends, the application continues to function, but new features and compatibility updates for newer versions of macOS require renewal.
You may not: (a) resell, sublicense, rent, or lease the software; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent license enforcement; (c) share license keys with users outside your organization; or (d) use the software in a manner that violates applicable law.
All sales are final. Licenses are non-refundable.
Once payment is processed, we do not issue refunds, returns, credits, or exchanges for any reason, including but not limited to: changes of mind, compatibility issues that can be tested against the Free tier prior to purchase, duplicate purchases, or failure to use the software.
A Free tier is available at no cost. We strongly recommend using the Free tier to confirm PT Manager works correctly on your system before purchasing a paid license.
Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute after acknowledging this refund policy at checkout may result in immediate suspension or termination of all licenses associated with your account. Our checkout flow records your acknowledgement of this policy.
If you believe you have been charged in error — for example, a duplicate charge caused by a payment processing issue — contact support@crawfordaudiotools.com within thirty (30) days of the charge. Genuine billing errors will be investigated and resolved at our discretion.
Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and exclude applicable taxes. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time; changes do not apply retroactively to licenses already purchased.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@crawfordaudiotools.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
You must provide accurate, current information when creating an account. Accounts registered with false information, or used to abuse free-tier provisioning, may be suspended.
You agree not to use our software or services to:
Crawford Audio Tools provides certain server-side features — including license activation, account management, and update delivery — as an online service. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages, and unforeseen events may cause temporary unavailability.
PT Manager is designed to continue functioning offline. A periodic license refresh is required every ninety (90) days, with a grace period to accommodate travel and temporary connectivity loss.
We may release updates that add, modify, or remove features. Material changes that affect your license entitlement (for example, a paid feature becoming a separate add-on) will be communicated in advance via the email on file or an in-app notification. Your continued use of the software after such changes constitutes acceptance.
The software and services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be error-free or uninterrupted.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crawford Audio Tools, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of or in connection with your use of the software, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the software shall not exceed the amount you paid for the license giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
We may suspend or terminate your account and licenses if you materially breach these terms, initiate a chargeback in violation of Section 3, or use the software unlawfully. Upon termination for breach, no refund is owed. Sections 3, 8, 9, and 11 survive termination.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Any dispute arising from these terms or the software shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email to account holders or an in-app notification at least fourteen (14) days before taking effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
